Student Internship Opportunity - Summer 2026
Internship Duration: 6 weeks (From July 2026)
Location: Horses Inside Out, Leicestershire
Are you passionate about horses, anatomy, art, or equine science?
Would you love the chance to gain hands-on experience inside a leading equine education and creative business?
Horses Inside Out is offering an exciting student internship for July 2026. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with Gillian Higgins and the team during our 20th Anniversary year, contributing to a variety of educational, creative, and exhibition projects.
What You’ll Gain

In-depth learning in equine anatomy and biomechanics

Experience helping to prepare, organise, and deliver a large-scale public exhibition

Insight into the day-to-day running of a successful equestrian education business

Opportunities to assist with painting anatomy on live horses during photo and film shoot days

Creative involvement in developing educational resources and content
What We’re Looking For

A motivated, enthusiastic student (18+) studying or interested in:
Equine science, veterinary science, animal science, biomechanics, art & illustration, media, or related subjects

Someone reliable, organised, proactive, and eager to learn

A good communicator with a genuine love of horses

Practical skills or experience beneficial but not essential (e.g. social media content creation, media, design, handling horses, scientific writing)

Someone who is comfortable using basic design or editing software to create posters, annotate images, and contribute to educational resources
