This Live Painted Horse Lecture Demonstration is an evening not to be missed. With the muscles and skeleton painted onto 2 real-live beautifully moving horses, it really brings anatomy to life! See horses in a new light as Gillian demonstrates how understanding anatomy can help use to improve the way ride, train and look after our horses.
You will come away looking at horses from a new perspective full of ideas, tips, exercises and techniques that you can do with your own horse to improve their comfort and performance.

18.45: Lecture Demonstration Part 1
Gillian explains the role of the horse’s skeleton and muscles, anatomical connections and posture using a variety of in-hand exercises and movements.
19.45: Break
During the break you’ll have the opportunity to ask Gillian questions, study the bones and anatomical models of the horse to further your learning and purchase Gillian's books.
20.30: Lecture Demonstration Part 2
This section focuses on the biomechanics of movement. With one horse on the lunge and the other ridden, this is jam packed full of rider, flatwork, polework and gymnastic jumping exercises that you can do with your own horse to improve his musculoskeletal health and performance.

About Gillian
Gillian is passionate about horses, equine anatomy and sharing all she knows for the good of the horse.
An authority in equine anatomy and biomechanics, a British Horse Society Senior Coach, professional sports and remedial therapist, author and with a first-class honours degree in Equine Science and Business Management.
Gillian specialises in assessing posture and movement, devising exercises for improving performance and educating horse owners.
She is well known for her anatomical painting on live horses which she uses for her teaching.
